Why I Do This Work
I've Been Inside the System — and Stuck Outside It.
This isn't a business I built because it looked like a good idea. I built it because I needed it — and it wasn't there.

Veteran & Legalman Background
I served as a U.S. Navy Legalman — the Navy's legal specialist. I spent years inside military legal proceedings, understanding how systems work, how evidence matters, and how ordinary people get steamrolled when they don't know the rules. I left the service knowing one thing: most workers never get a fair shot not because their case is weak, but because no one shows them how the room works.
I Fought Wage Theft — Pro Se. And Won. Twice.
Before I built this practice, wages were stolen from me. I filed my own claims. I navigated the same bureaucracy your workers face. I went 2 for 2 — no attorney, no money, no connections. I won because I knew how to organize a case, how to present evidence, and how to refuse to be ignored. That's exactly what I do for every client I take on.
Advocacy & Reform
Miami-Dade's wage theft crisis isn't a coincidence — it's the result of employers who have watched the County's program remain chronically understaffed for years. Organized, complete, properly filed cases move faster. That's what BWTA delivers: not just help for one worker, but pressure on a system that has let too many workers down for too long.
"I can't promise results — but I can promise you won't have to navigate this process alone. I've walked this road. I know every turn. And I'm not going to let them bet against you the way they bet against me."— Russell Otway, Founder, Bold Wage Theft Advocacy
